Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce: Rogers Behavioral Health joins as newest gold member

MILWAUKEE – The Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce announced today that Rogers Behavioral Health has joined the Chamber as its newest gold member, bringing the total number of members of the Chamber to nearly 700 businesses and organizations.

“We are honored to welcome Rogers Behavioral Health as the newest gold member of the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber,” said Jason Rae, President & CEO of the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce. “We are thrilled to partner with such a well-respected national organization as we collectively work to build a more inclusive community across the state and country. Rogers’ commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion is a model for other organizations providing mental health and addiction services to the LGBTQ community.”

“In order to provide the most effective treatment possible for our patients and their families, it’s important that employees feel supported and encouraged each day,” said Karen Nelson, director of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion for Rogers. “That’s why Rogers strives to create a healthy culture where patients and employees can grow and feel welcome, safe, and respected. As the field of behavioral health has historically stigmatized the LGBTQIA+ community, it is imperative for Rogers to pave a path as an affirming organization while holding ourselves accountable and continuously improving our care for all those we serve. We are proud to be a member of the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber and to work together to build a more welcoming and inclusive community for all in Wisconsin and across the country.”

Rogers Behavioral Health is a nationally recognized, not-for-profit provider of mental health and addiction services. The System also includes Rogers Behavioral Health Foundation and Rogers InHealth.

Rogers Behavioral Health joins more than 50 other corporations as a gold member of the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber. Gold members receive a listing in the online business directory, invitation to all Chamber events, and a seat on the Chamber’s Leadership Council.
