Wisconsin Dairy Expo: Fudge’s fourth win at International Junior Milking Shorthorn Show

MADISON, WIS. – Back again for the fourth time, Maple Fudge Of 12 Oaks, owned by Colton and Ashley Brandel of Lake Mills, Wisconsin, was named Senior and Grand Champion of the International Junior Milking Shorthorn Show. Fudge, the winning Lifetime Merit Cow, was presented the $500 Udder Comfort Grand Champion Award and the Lillian and Keith King and Jim King Grand Champion Junior Show Award for her success. Gin-Val Logic Lauretta-EXP initially placed first in the Senior Three-Year-Old Cow Class and went on to be named Intermediate Champion and Reserve Grand Champion. Lauretta, owned by her breeder, Johnathon Clark of Cornish, New Hampshire, received the Lillian and Keith King and Jim King Reserve Grand Champion Junior Show Award.

Reserve Senior Champion honors were presented to the first place Four-Year-Old Cow, Heavenly Hominy-EXP, bred and owned by Brett Ritschard of Heavenly Show Cattle in Monroe, Wisconsin. New Hampshire’s Johnathon Clark received Reserve Intermediate Champion honors with another bred and owned cow, Gin-Val Princeton Leanna-EXP, the first place Junior Three-Year-Old Cow.

The first place Winter Yearling Heifer, Maunesha Creek Easy On The Eyes-EXP, took home the title of Junior Champion. Easy On The Eyes is owned by Ashley Brandel of Lake Mills, Wisconsin. Reserve Junior Champion went to Britton Allen and Cameron Allen of Stitzer, Wisconsin with their Fall Yearling Heifer, Lazy M Jekyll Zella-EXP.  

Official judge Dean Dohle of Pleasant Hope, Missouri and associate judge Keith Fisher of New Enterprise, Pennsylvania placed 67 junior entries.
