Tom’s Drive-In and Holidays Pub & Grill: Construction of restaurant taking shape

(Appleton, Wis.) – After nearly six months, construction of the newest Tom’s Drive-In and Holidays Pub & Grill is moving along at N. Richmond St. and W. Evergreen Dr. in Appleton.

“It’s great to see the progress that’s been made since construction started in April,” said Scot Grishaber, Tom’s Drive-In president/CEO. “We’re excited to be working with Hoffman to expand our reach and serve even more people in Appleton and the surrounding area.”

Hoffman Planning, Design & Construction, Inc. is leading the construction project, which is the first building in the new Evergreen Heights development. Dave Dickinson, Hoffman field project manager says the roof, exterior walls, and windows should all be in place by the end of October. “The exterior framing and wall sheeting is now about 50% complete, the concrete floors have been poured, and the parking lot is coming along, Dickinson said. “We should have curbs, sidewalks, and patios completed by the end of November with interior framing and mechanicals starting at that point.”

“We’re building state-of-the-art restaurants with a goal of attracting a new generation of customers while still catering to those that have come to love Tom’s and Holidays through the years,” said Terry Ellenbecker, Hoffman’s vice president of field operations.

When completed in spring 2022, the 22,550 square foot building will house the eighth Tom’s Drive-In in the Fox Valley and the third Holidays. A ninth Tom’s Drive-In is located in Sheboygan.
