De Pere, Wis.: St. Norbert College is featured on CollegesofDistinction.com, which is celebrating its 21 year as a one-of-a-kind guide for college-bound students.
The online guide takes a fresh look at colleges and universities appealing to students’ unique and varied interests. Based on the opinions of guidance counselors, educators and admission professionals, Colleges of Distinction™ honors colleges excelling in key areas of educational quality.
“St. Norbert College is thrilled to be included in the Colleges of Distinction guidebook. Unlike other lists, this approach allows families to get a broader sense of schools that truly engage students and ensure exceptional outcomes. I would like to think we do that very well, and I appreciate that we are being recognized for our commitment to students and their return on investment,” said Brian Bruess, president of St. Norbert College.
In order to qualify, St. Norbert College was required to demonstrate excellence in four areas: engaged students, great teaching, vibrant communities and successful outcomes. Featured schools take a holistic approach to admission, consistently excel in providing undergraduate education and have a truly national reputation.
Founder Wes Creel created Colleges of Distinction to draw more attention to schools like St. Norbert College whose student-centered education prevails in applying theory to practice while fostering a dynamic learning community.
“While each school is one of a kind, they all share a common theme: They are all a great place to get an education,” Creel said.
Offering college profiles and easy-to-use search tools, the Colleges of Distinction website includes tips from high school guidance counselors and essays from college students, presidents and other members of campus communities.
