GREEN BAY, Wis. – Hauling for Good®, a fundraising program created by Lubenow Companies Inc, was started in 2019 to give back to the community. During the month of March, the Haul-Around Champion® commits to donating a percentage of the proceeds from each mile driven to the Littlest Tumor Foundation to support their work serving children facing Neurofibromatosis and their families.
The program has quickly gained popularity and support, exceeding its fundraising goals for the past three years and helping the non-profit to expand its services through the pandemic. “We have received numerous heartfelt calls and emails from individuals whose lives have been impacted by neurofibromatosis,” said David Boeder, Director of Client Services at Lubenow Companies Inc.
Neurofibromatosis is one of the most common genetic disorders impacting children, but most have never heard of the disorder.
“I am so grateful for the amazing show of support from our clients for the Hauling for Good campaign and the Littlest Tumor Foundation for the third year in a row,” Darrell Lubenow, President of Lubenow Companies Inc. remarked when asked about the success of the program, “This initiative would not be successful without the support of our clients, employees, and vendors.”
The third annual Hauling for Good campaign once again exceeded its goal, this time by over 20%, raising a total of $6,662. The funds will benefit the Appleton, Wisconsin-based nonprofit organization, Littlest Tumor Foundation, and its mission to increase awareness and understanding of Neurofibromatosis (NF). The organization offers wellness retreats and hosts kid’s camps, empowering children with NF and their families, while also striving to help advance research of preventative therapies.
