La Crosse Local: The limited series cooking show “Cooking with Bao” to feature La Crosse Mayor Mitch Reynolds and shares fundraising goal updates

La Crosse County, WI (July 2021): As part of the nonprofit campaign to help bring awareness and raise funds for the La Crosse area Hmong farmers, the campaign has raised $5,600 of its $6,500 goal from business sponsorships, individual donations via GoFundMe and the Sabadash App where people can purchase the “Dinner for Six” Sweepstakes featuring various dishes including Hmong and Hmong American recipes.

Money raised through the “Cooking with Bao” fundraiser will go directly to Hmong farmers to help relieve some of the financial impacts from the pandemic, and to offset start up season costs (seed, supplies, equipement, etc.) for the 2021 season.

Guest hosts include Mario Youakim of Sabadash App, Mayor of La Crosse Mitch Reynolds, Gus Fimple of Aris Global Imports, Josh Dumale of the wildly popular donut business, The Dirty Dozen, and local foodie Abram Dyke of Abe’s Raves. Current episodes are available on Youtube and the La Crosse Local Facebook page.

A special thanks to the Mayor of La Crosse, Mitch Reynolds for volunteering his time to join us, cook, chat, and learn about the impacts of covid on the La Crosse area Hmong farmers – Bao Xiong Founder, For Independent Hmong Farmers Corp.
