Jackie Nitschke Center: Looks to strike the right notes with Give BIG Green Bay event

GREEN BAY – The NEW Piano Guys hope to hit all the right notes to raise funds for the Jackie Nitschke Center next week during Give BIG Green Bay. The local piano playing duo will be tickling the ivories during a Facebook Live event on Tuesday, Feb. 16 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Give BIG Green Bay is a 24-hour online fundraiser for 45 non-profits in the Green Bay area, including the Jackie Nitschke Center. It runs from Feb. 16 at noon until noon on Feb. 17. Matching funds from a grant from the Green Bay Packers Foundation helps every dollar donated go even further.

“We wanted to do something different while still being mindful of the limitations due to the pandemic,” said Michelle Pierquet-Hohner, Director of Community & Donor Engagement. “We’re inviting the community to kick back and relax while watching and listening to the premier dueling piano guys playing all of your favorites. They’ll even take requests with any donations made during the event.” Donations to the Jackie Nitschke Center can be made at www.givebiggreenbay.org/…/Jackie-Nitschke-Center.

“Now, more than ever, individuals and families suffering with addiction need your help,” said Larry Connors, CEO of the Jackie Nitschke Center. “Your gift helps us to safely maintain in-person treatment services and temporarily transition to virtual programming when needed during the pandemic.”

Dan Rafferty of the NEW Piano Guys adds, “We’re thrilled to be a part of this event. Being able to help raise valuable funds for such a cherished non-profit by doing what we do best is a win-win for the community and those that need the specialized care the Jackie Nitschke Center offers.”
