I/O Technologies: Moves to Butler, expands team with two software programmers

Butler, Wis. – I/O Technologies, southeastern Wisconsin’s premier source for custom software and software support solutions, has relocated to Butler and expanded its software development team with two new programmers.

I/O Technologies moved to 4825 N. 125th St. The new office is closer to local clients and offers room to expand, said Jeanie Martin, company President.

“Our new office provides myriad benefits including a central location, more in-house meeting space for client visits, and room to grow as business evolves,” she said. “The office also has a fire-proof room for servers, offering added protection for us and our clients, which was a tremendous incentive for the relocation.”

I/O Technologies, founded in 1994, was headquartered in Germantown since 2007. The office transfer was made in one day, with no service interruption to clients.

The timing was ideal, as two new programmers recently joined the team of custom software specialists.

Samuel Marshall and Andrew Valdez bring fresh ideas and sought-after skills to I/O Technologies.

Samuel Marshall worked in microbiology for nearly five years before a career change to software development. He most recently worked as a research technologist at the Medical College of Wisconsin, performing qualitative testing and instructing medical students on laboratory techniques. The author of several scientific papers, Marshall joins I/O Technologies after earning an associate’s degree in software and web development from Waukesha County Technical College. He holds a B.S. in microbiology from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

Andrew Valdez is a graduate of UW-La Crosse with a B.S. in computer science, where he completed projects involving Java, SQL, C/C++ and embedded systems. He brings invaluable customer service experience, having worked for a beverage distributor and retail grocery store for several years prior to graduating college.

The talented team at I/O Technologies works closely with clients throughout the software development lifecycle to ensure satisfaction with their new software. The firm offers a free initial consultation for all projects.

Besides developing custom software to meet specific client needs, I/O Technologies offers FastPunch 2.0, a time and attendance software for employers that saves payroll costs by tracking employees’ work time more accurately and efficiently. FastPunch 2.0 allows all time and attendance data to be synced with a cloud or web database, and interfaces with payroll companies’ programs for seamless service.

I/O Technologies operates on a mission of providing software development services that help clients focus on core business needs and boost profitability. The firm supports legacy software products, especially Fox Pro, that many companies still use. The Milwaukee Business Journal has included I/O Technologies for many years in its “Largest Milwaukee-Area Software Product Companies” list.

Founded in 1994, I/O Technologies provides software development and programming for clients in Wisconsin, across the U.S. and around the world. Its tailored software simplifies day-to-day business activities, and gathers, transfers and reports key business information – all of which lead to better decisions and lower operating costs.
