(Appleton, Wis.) – Sixty-one years ago Tom’s Drive-In made its debut with its first location across from Telulah Park in Appleton. A burger cost 15 cents and a milk shake was 20 cents. Flash forward to 2021 and there are now seven locations in the Fox Valley and one in Sheboygan. The number of Tom’s Drive-Ins will grow to nine with Hoffman Planning, Design & Construction having designed and now building the newest drive-thru restaurant at N. Richmond St. and W. Evergreen Dr. The 22,550 square foot project will also include the third Holidays Pub & Grill.
“We’ve enjoyed partnering with Scot Grishaber and his team on these two popular eating and entertainment venues and gaining a deeper understanding of his vision,” said Terry Ellenbecker, Hoffman’s vice president of field operations. “Our goal was to develop state-of-the-art restaurants that would attract a new generation of customers while still catering to those that have come to love Tom’s and Holidays over the years.”
Construction of Tom’s Drive-In and Holidays Pub & Grill has begun and will be completed in spring 2022.
“We’re excited to be working with Hoffman on our ninth Tom’s location and third Holidays restaurant,” Grishaber said. “Building on our well-known reputation, we’re eager to expand and serve even more people in Appleton and the surrounding area.”
The three-story Holidays will feature indoor tiered seating and a gaming area, an outdoor patio, and second-floor event spaces. The lower level is fully prepped for a future E-sports room, golf simulator, and mini golf course.
