Milwaukee, Wis. — HGA is pleased to welcome Angie Choy Edwards as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Edwards succeeds Kent Mainquist, who retired from HGA after 22 years of service; Mainquist will serve as an advisor through the end of the year to ensure a smooth transition.
Edwards joins HGA with more than 25 years of experience in corporate and operational finance with expertise in financial planning and analysis, commercial business support, strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, process improvement, and shared services management. She’s held finance leadership positions with best-in-class professional services, manufacturing, and Fortune 500 companies.
“Angie is a seasoned leader with the right expertise, foresight, and collaborative skills to help our firm continue to grow and evolve,” said Tim Carl, FAIA, LEED AP, Chief Executive Officer of HGA. “She brings a deep understanding of the relationship between an organization’s culture and its financial performance and how strategy integrates both. Edwards will report to Carl and become a member of the firm’s executive team. Working with the HGA’s board of directors and leadership, she will drive financial strategies for the firm and its 11 regional offices, contribute to strategic planning by defining and analyzing financial goals, and manage budgeting and planning, new market opportunities, and mergers and acquisitions. She will be based in HGA’s Milwaukee, Wisconsin office.

Prior to HGA, Edwards was Division Chief Financial Officer at iQ International AG and Vice President – Finance at Apple Leisure Group. She has also held finance leadership positions with best-in-class companies in the Milwaukee area, including Johnson Controls and ManpowerGroup. She began her career as an auditor with Ernst & Young in Singapore. She has a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Marquette University in Milwaukee, and a Bachelor of Accountancy from National University of Singapore.
