EMEM Group: Announces hiring of Deshea Agee

MILWAUKEE – Today,Emem Group announced that Deshea Agee will join the firm as Vice President, continuing the firm’s momentum and growth in Milwaukee.

“We are excited to welcome Deshea Agee to Emem Group. He is an accomplished executive with a wealth of experience in community and economic development, and we are elated to have him as part of our team” said Michael Emem, President and CEO of Emem Group. “We know that his contributions will result in our firm having an even greater impact on the communities and projects we serve, and we look forward to a bright future ahead.”

As Vice President, Deshea will provide oversight and management of company operations in addition to leading and managing commercial development projects, both as owners’ representative and on projects where Emem Group is lead developer.

“I am excited to join Emem Group and look forward to contributing to the development of Milwaukee’s built environment,” said Agee. “This transition affords me the opportunity to not only participate on a variety of development projects, but it also supports an emerging real estate leader that I trust, respect, and believe in.”

In the past year, Emem Group has quietly emerged as a leader in a diverse array of real estate offerings – from design building over $4MM in new market rate homes, to managing over $35MM in commercial development projects as owner’s rep, to co-developing the new Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. library and apartments project which recently received WHEDA low-income housing tax credit allocation.

“Deshea is joining us at a great time in our company history,” said Emem. “We’ve experienced tremendous demand and had a real need for additional bench strength. Deshea immediately fills that need. Now we can continue our business plan of holistic community development and do so in a sustainable manner.”
