Dane Dances!: Every Friday in August 2021

Dane Dances is excited to kick-off our 22nd season this Friday August 6, 2021 with Media Hosts Judith Davidoff, Editor, Dylan Brogan, Reporter with ISTHMUS, and Community Host Juan Jose Lopez of Lopez Consulting Services, LLC.  The dancing starts with DJ Pain 1 at 5:30 PM.

Get up–Get down with Madison best Salsa band Orquesta Mas-Madison All Stars at 6:00 PM.  Continue to jam the night away with: “The power of the Blues, emotion of Soul, sophistication of Jazz, danceability of R&B and the attitude of Rock n Roll” with Sons of Chicago at 8:00 PM.

Week 2: August 13th Media Host Stu Levitan Host, Madison Bookbeat, WORT 89.9 FM and Community Host Rachel Byington, TRIBAL YOUTH & COMMUNITY LIAISON -UW MADISON.  The dancing starts with DJ ACE at 5:30 PM.

Get together with one of the Midwest best R&B, POP and Jazz bands, Eddie Butts Band at 6:00 PM.   Enjoy the fire of Latin rhythm and the groove of Soul with Madison’s Premiere Latin-Soul Band Orquesta SalSoul Del Mad with surprise special Guests at 8:00 PM.

Week 3: August 20th Media Host Sanika Bhargaw Reporter/Multi-Media Journalist WMTV NBC15 and Community Host Dr. Carlton D. Jenkins Superintendent Madison Metropolitan School District.  The dancing starts with DJ Chamo at 5:30 PM.

Get up Get funky with Madison favorite dance band VO5 at 6:00 PM.  Groove your night away with the seductive sounds of Barry White with Antone’s Tribute to Barry White at 8:00 PM.

Week 4: August 27th Media Host Paul Fanlund Editor & Publisher of The Capital Times and Community Host Renee Moe President & CEO United Way of Dane County.  The party starts with DJ ACE at 5:30 PM.

Get down Get all the way down with the Sounds of Slave R&B Band Old School Funk at 6:00 PM and keep Body Bumpin with the heart thumping sounds of Public Announcement at 8:00 PM

We are excited to be back!  Please join us as we reconnect after a long year of staying safe, wearing masks and social distancing to get through the Covid 19 pandemic.  We invite you to now get out, get up, get down and get together.
