Creekside Crossing Conference Center, Homewood Suites: New conference center and extended-stay hotel coming to Oak Creek

Oak Creek, WI – November 2, 2021 – Construction of the new Creekside Crossing Conference Center and an adjacent Homewood Suites by Hilton is well underway. Stand Rock Hospitality, the developer and operator of the new extended-stay hotel and meeting and event space are on schedule to open the hotel and conference center late Summer, 2022, and are accepting event and guest room block bookings.

Located on 3.9 acres in the newly developed Creekside Crossing Marketplace, the conference center and hotel are adjacent to the new IKEA off I-94 (Drexel Avenue exit), and less than 5 miles from General Mitchell International Airport.

Creekside Crossing Conference Center (www.creeksideconferencecenter.com) is sleek, flexible, and functional and will be ideal for weddings, meetings, conferences and other special events. The 11,500 sq. ft. space includes a beautiful pre-function area, grand ballroom that can be separated into four smaller function rooms, private board and meeting rooms, patio, and a restaurant and bar (bAR, eAST & eATS) with seasonal outdoor dining available.

The adjacent 121-room Homewood Suites by Hilton will welcome travelers to a more comfortable experience, allowing guests to stay in their routines while on the road for business or leisure. Every guest room at Homewood Suites will offer a spacious studio or one-bedroom suite with a fully equipped kitchen, desk area, and modern amenities. Additionally, guests can enjoy a complimentary hot breakfast, along with a weekly complimentary evening social.

“We are very excited to be working with the City of Oak Creek to bring about a one-of-a-kind, mixed-use development in this ever expanding and emerging market in the South Shore area,” said Pete Helland, Jr., Managing Partner for Stand Rock. “The new project will help address the need in the area for a venue offering meeting space for small and mid-sized gatherings and weddings – as well as provide a more upscale, extended stay lodging option.”

“Oak Creek is proud to welcome the Creekside Crossing Conference Center and Homewood Suites hotel to our city,” said Mayor Dan Bukiewicz. “This exciting new development will be a key component in the city’s strategic plan to bring a unique hospitality, dining and retail experience to the area. We look forward to its opening in 2022.”

Wisconsin firms JKC Build has been retained as the Owner’s Project Manager, Catalyst Construction as the General Contractor, and Plunkett Raysich Architects as the project architect.
