MADISON, WI – Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association (WCMA) members today applauded U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin’s appointment to serve as Chair of the federal Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies. In this role, Baldwin (D-WI) will have oversight of legislation directing federal funds to programs serving and strengthening the nation’s agricultural producers and processors.
WCMA Executive Director John Umhoefer released this statement following news of Baldwin’s appointment.
