EGG HARBOR, WI – The Village View Shoppes & Residences “Groundbreaking Event” will take place on Friday October 29, 2021. The Open House will be from 2:00-5:00pm. Located at 7784 State Hwy 42 downtown Egg Harbor, Wisconsin.
The Developers and contractor, Bayland Buildings, Inc. are sponsoring the event and inviting the public to attend. Come see the 3-D video presentation of the project, appetizers and beverages will be served.
After two years of research and planning, the Developers and Bayland Buildings, Inc. are ready to break ground and start construction. The finalized design features blend well with the surrounding community, incorporating the historic structure of Door County for the ground floor retail shops and condominiums on the second and third levels of the building. This will be a fantastic addition to the Egg Harbor Community.
The Village Board agrees the building fits with other structures downtown and approved of the design and continuity of the stonework planned to match the historic Birnschein building to the north. Similar structures to the Village View development are the neighboring Landing Resort, Newport Resort, Moja Rosa’s, Greens N Grains, Shipwrecked and Door County Nature Works.
The Village View Shoppes & Residences 16-unit building development are designed with 2 retail units and 14 residential units and all with sizable decks. Additionally, the building features an indoor heated garage with spaces for all owners. The development is centrally located in Egg Harbor and is a short walk to most retail operations and the Egg Harbor Marina.
“The people working on this should be congratulated for adapting and preserving that beautiful old building,” said TC Johnson a local resident.
According to Director of Sales, Thomas Martin, there has been considerable interest in the commercial and residential units. Both retail units and 6 residential units have been sold, 8 residential units remain available for sale. Mr. Martin said that construction will begin this November.
