Wisconsin Avenue, Appleton, WI, 54911 on Sunday, June 13th from 12:00-7:00 p.m. Event proceeds benefit Antix Theatrix’s first production of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” – slated to premiere in Appleton, Wisconsin this fall.
Antix Theatrix is collaboratively focused on enhancing arts and culture in Downtown Appleton with Creative Downtown Appleton Inc as the fiscal agent for the summer production of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” enabling individual donations to the project to be tax deductible.

The event will feature numerous activities throughout the afternoon, including a Mexican Fajita Bar, Fairy Costume Contest, Cornhole Tournament, live painting and a raffle for one-of-a-kind fairy gardens.

More information on the event can be found on Antix Theatrix Facebook page, or their website- https://antix.productions.

Antix Theatrix is a non-profit arts collective dedicated to community, creativity and collaboration. Founded by artistic director, Alex J. Frantz, the organization is known for their practice of “Fair Trade Artists” – the concept that all artists deserve to be compensated fairly for their time and talents.

Their first production of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” is slated to premiere in Downtown Appleton this fall. Thematically, the production will focus on LGBTQ themes, including a completely gender-blind casting process and enlisting the talents of local drag performers.

“Appleton has a unique and diverse LGBTQ community. Yet, like communities across the nation, we struggle for recognition and appreciation. Through this production, we aim to simultaneously celebrate and educate, utilizing Shakespeare’s text to open inclusive conversations about the LGBTQ experience.” states Antix Theatrix Founder, Alex Frantz.
The overall budget for the production is $23,000, over half of which goes directly to fairly compensating actors, designers and production management.

The fundraising event is generously sponsored by several local businesses, including All Tied Up floral cafe, Creative Downtown Appleton, McFleshman’s, Pick N’ Save, Pinot’s Palette, Rainbow Over Wisconsin, Rascal’s Bar and Grill, Your Guest Chef.
