Amerequip: Leads the way on first Habitat for Humanity build in New Holstein

(Kiel, Wis.) – The Greater Fox Cities Area Habitat for Humanity today announced its first home build in the city of New Holstein in Calumet County. The announcement was made at Amerequip®, which will be the major corporate sponsor for the project.

“We are very excited to be teaming up with the Greater Fox Cities Area Habitat for Humanity on this community build,” said Mike VanderZanden, Amerequip president and CEO. “This is another great opportunity for us to support and give back to the community that has supported us for more than 100 years.”

In addition to being the lead corporate sponsor for the Habitat build, Amerequip is committing to fill the 160 volunteer slots during the 3-month build, which will take place at 1505 Stonewall Dr., New Holstein.

“We can’t thank Amerequip enough for their commitment,” said John Weyenberg, president and CEO of the Fox Cities Habitat. “Without community partnerships, we could not provide innovative housing options to address the needs of low-income families in our community.”

At today’s announcement, organizers also introduced the partner family for the project, the Najazi and Nurhane Guri family. “It’s so great to be selected for this project,” said Najazi Guri. “My family and I are so looking forward to taking part in the construction and watching our new home come to life.”
