Agrace: Thrift holiday pop-up shop opens October 28

Sales Benefit Agrace’s Grief Support Services

MADISON, Wis. — Agrace Thrift Stores’ 3rd annual Holiday Pop-Up Shop will open Thursday, October 28, selling a mix of donated new and gently used items for holiday entertaining, giving and decorating.

Located inside Madison’s East Towne Mall, near JCPenney, the store will be open for six weeks, Tuesdays through Saturdays, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Because the shop’s merchandise is donated by the community, most items will be one-of-a-kind treasures and updated every week.

“The success of the Holiday Pop-Up Shop is largely due to the many community donors who generously gift their holiday treasures to Agrace throughout the year,” said Katie O’Grady, Agrace retail business manager. “We’re also grateful to have so many dedicated volunteers who give their time, care and attention to making the shop look so magical.”

Proceeds from the pop-up shop help fund Agrace’s community grief support services, including those offered through the Agrace Grief Support Center in Fitchburg.

Every year, more than 2,000 adults and children throughout southern Wisconsin receive grief support from Agrace when they need help coping with the loss of a loved one. This essential community service is available to anyone who has experienced a loss due to death, even if the person who died was not an Agrace Hospice Care patient.

Agrace operates four other resale stores in south central Wisconsin—three traditional thrift stores in Madison and Janesville, and a home store in Madison that focuses on furniture and décor.
