Acuity: Supports hearing conservation with HEAR Wisconsin

Acuity announced that it has donated $40,000 to HEAR Wisconsin in support of the group’s hearing conservation services. Acuity’s contribution helped fund Wisconsin’s first-ever nonprofit Mobile Audiology Clinic (MAC), which began operating July 13.

HEAR Wisconsin helps children and adults of all ages identify and manage hearing loss through patient-first care, advanced expertise, and leading technologies. By extending the accessibility of HEAR Wisconsin, the Mobile Audiology Clinic can now provide more people throughout the state with convenient, affordable, and quality hearing healthcare and hearing conservation services.

HEAR Wisconsin is the most comprehensive nonprofit hearing healthcare provider in the state. For 95 years, this statewide organization has been providing vital services to an underserved, under-resourced population – babies, families, the young, and the young at heart who are deaf or hard of hearing or have a speech disability. HEAR Wisconsin’s state-of-the-art Mobile Audiology Clinic is supervised by a team of audiologists with doctorate degrees, Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC) certification, OSHA training, and extensive hands-on experience.
