1840 Brewing Company: Burngartens are Back at Washington County Parks this winter

West Bend, WI – The Washington County Park and Trail System is pleased to enter its second winter partnering with 1840 Brewing Company from Milwaukee to host “Burngartens” in Homestead Hollow County Park in Germantown, Wis.

Beginning November 13th and ending February 27th, the park will be 1840 Brewing Company’s Winter Retreat on Saturdays and Sundays 12 PM to 7 PM weather permitting. What started to promote a socially-distanced, outdoor option for craft beer lovers, quickly resulted in a winter outlet for groups to warm up after sledding, dog-park meet-ups and other outdoor winter recreation via rentable fire pits at Homestead Hollow County Park.

Renters should always confirm operation before heading out as cancellations do occur for extreme cold or winter weather. Park admission is free for Burngarten attendees. More information on reserving a fire pit can be found here. 1840 will have eight beers on tap, including a new Hazy Pale Ale called “Fire Pit Pale,” bottles to-go, light snacks, s’mores kits, hot chocolate, and coffee available for purchase. Additional wood is also available to purchase and proceeds benefit Washington County Parks.
