Wisconsin Bankers Association: Announces new government relations and communications staff

The Wisconsin Bankers Association has filled three key advocacy roles at the state’s largest financial industry trade association. We are pleased to welcome the following new staff members:  

John Cronin is joining as the new Assistant Director-Government Relations and head of state government relations. He spent the first eight years of his career in the Wisconsin State Assembly where he worked for Rep. Mark Born (R – Beaver Dam) from 2013 to 2018 and for now former-Rep. John Nygren (R-Marinette) from 2018 through Dec. 2nd of this year. Cronin is a graduate of UW-Madison with a degree in economics.  

Ally Bates has been promoted to the newly created position of Digital Marketing Coordinator. Previously she worked as Admin/Communications Assistant – Legal. Bates graduated from Iowa State University in 2016 with a degree in Communication Studies and a minor in Design Studies.  

Alex Paniagua is joining as the new Writer/Editor – Communications. Paniagua earned his bachelor’s degree in English literature and communications from UW-Milwaukee and has written for publications such as AQUA Magazine, Wisconsin People & Ideas, and American Farriers Journal.
