(Waukesha, WI)- Today, Waukesha County is announcing new business partners in the fight against COVID-19 through engagement in the “Stay Safe to Stay Open” campaign. The campaign is a unified approach to promote the actions businesses and residents can take to mitigate the spread of the virus as the economy and community slowly reopen.
“As more people return to their offices or resume receiving in-person business services, it’s important to remember that even though the virus is still in our community, we can work together to protect each other,” said Waukesha County Executive Paul Farrow. “The engagement of our business community, in addition to our local chambers of commerce, is vital to avoid COVID-19 spikes in our county.”
Eleven organizations have pledged to take proactive health and safety measures for employees and members of the public that use their facilities. In addition to meeting industry-specific standards, these partners will share simple but essential health safety messages with their employees and customers. The new campaign partners are:

- New Berlin Chamber of Commerce
- ProHealth Care
- R&R Insurance
- VJS Construction Services
- The Waukesha County Business Alliance (WCBA)
- The Waukesha County Center for Growth (WCG)
The “Stay Safe to Stay Open” campaign is a partnership between Waukesha County government, community organizations, and business leaders to promote four concepts that will protect the health and economy of Waukesha County:
- Protect the vulnerable
- Stay home if you are sick
- Practice Social Distancing
- Follow CDC best practices
Waukesha County provides a digital toolkit and a series of webinars that businesses can use to promote their commitment to the “Stay Safe to Stay Open” concepts. The toolkit includes printable posters, digital flyers, social media campaign resources, and links to online resources available on the new “Stay Home, Stay Safe” webpage at www.waukeshacounty.gov/safeopen.
