Waukesha Bryon Riesch Paralysis Foundation: Awarded $10,000 from R&R Insurance Services to raise funds for medical research and scholarships

Thanks to the communities’ support, Waukesha Bryon Riesch Paralysis Foundation, a local organization who provides funds for medical research towards finding a cure for paralysis and assists those who suffer from neurological disorders, was officially awarded a $10,000 donation from R&R Insurance Services.

The $10,000 will be used by the nonprofit to help cover the cost of research grants and fund charitable grants for individuals affected by paralysis and other neurological disorders or to the children of those affected. Charitable grants are used for essential items that individuals dealing with paralysis desperately need such as a ramp to enter and exit their house, vehicle modifications to assist with driving and other various medical equipment.

R&R Insurance Services originally received a $5,000 for Bryon Riesch Paralysis Foundation through a submission process, and Liberty Mutual® and Safeco Insurance® offered Bryon Riesch, an agent at R&R Insurance Services, an additional chance to raise even more funds through social media support via the official Make More Happen microsite www.AgentGiving.com. Together, they were able to raise an additional $5,000 by having their story shared at least 500 times over the course of a week to total the donation to $10,000.

Throughout 2020, Liberty Mutual® and Safeco Insurance® will select a total of 34 independent agents nationwide will be selected for a Make More Happen Awards™ and Liberty Mutual® and Safeco Insurance® will donate up to $340,000 to the nonprofits they support. Agencies became eligible for the award by submitting an application demonstrating their commitment to a specific nonprofit, along with a photo of a project they worked on.
