The Corners of Brookfield: Delivers on holiday spirit

Town of Brookfield, Wis. – The Corners of Brookfield is decking its halls – well, sidewalks– in preparation for its all new lineup of 2020 holiday events and programming. With carolers, hot cocoa walks, photo booths, giant light shows and more, the town center will have festive, safe fun for every member of the family.

The center will kick off the holidays with two giant light experiences on display in Market Square for the duration of the season. Starting on Nov. 21, a 15-foot tall walk-through hot cocoa mug multi-senses experiential installation will light-up the community, topped with 18,000 LED lights and chocolate-scented fog. In addition to the larger-than-life, sweet aroma hot cocoa mug, a 40-foot immersive lights tunnel running along Market Square and adorned with 10,000 color-changing LED lights will make for the perfect photo opportunity. Also on Nov. 21, the town center will receive a visit from live reindeer in Market Square from 2 – 4 p.m.

Also new this year, from Nov. 27 to Dec. 6, The Corners will be hosting 10 Days of Cheer. Each day will bring hot cocoa walks, carolers, community singing, shopping specials and more. Each night, the Center’s beloved, 35 ft. Christmas tree will be lit at 6:30 p.m.

Back by popular demand, children are also invited to drop off letters to Santa in the Market Square North Pole mailbox, starting Friday, Nov. 27.

For another year, on Dec. 13 from 11 a.m.- 4 p.m., shoppers can enjoy the 6th Annual Gingerbread Build event in partnership with Habitat for Humanity. Remarkably decorated gingerbread houses sponsored and built by local businesses will be displayed throughout the Center for voting as part of Habitat’s Gingerbread Build project.

Throughout the holiday season, The Corners recently expanded shopping hours will remain Monday – Saturday 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. – 6 p.m., though there will be special hours to help accommodate later season shoppers. The Center will be closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day and has special hours for the following days:

  • Friday, Nov. 27 (Black Friday): 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.
  • Friday, Dec. 18: 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.
  • Saturday, Dec. 19: 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.
  • Sunday, Dec. 20: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
  • Thursday, Dec. 24 (Christmas Eve): 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Thursday, Dec. 31 (New Year’s Eve): 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Friday, Jan. 1 (New Year’s Day): 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

“We know that everyone could use a little cheer this year, so we wanted to make The Corners a safe space for the community to come and enjoy the season together,” said Chelsea Roessler, director of marketing and events. “The holidays may look different this year, but for us, that was even more reason to get creative with our tenants, utilize our outdoor space and think of fun, safe ways to celebrate.”
