Security Health Plan: Learn about Medicare options at online seminars

Information about Medicare plans offered in central, northern and western Wisconsin will be discussed during four online seminars in November by Security Health Plan of Wisconsin, Inc. Medicare’s Annual Enrollment Period from October 15 through December 7 is the only time most Medicare beneficiaries can change the way they receive their benefits.

Security’s Medicare Advantage plans help Medicare beneficiaries afford and receive high quality health care and services. Security has enhanced its Medicare Advantage plans for 2021 by adding free SilverSneakers® memberships, lowering insulin costs and improving coverage so that member costs to use Medicare-covered services are the same anywhere in the United States.

Also for 2021, Security has added the Ascend Rx plan that combines the best of two popular existing plans into one affordable package. For those eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid, the Ally Rx D-SNP plan includes several extra benefits and an expanded service area of 12 central Wisconsin counties with the additions of Barron and Oneida counties.

The online seminars, or webinars, will last about 90 minutes, including time to answer questions. Security Health Plan representatives will discuss the advantages of each plan type and explain when people are allowed to enroll, what is and is not covered, and what charges they will incur. Webinars are scheduled at 9 a.m. and noon on Wednesday, Nov. 4, and Thursday, Nov. 12. Registration is required to attend.
