MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN – MobCraft Beer will release five limited availability beers on Black Friday. The Walker’s Point brewery will release two pastry stouts and three sour beers.
For the second year, MobCraft partnered with Uncle Mike’s Bake Shoppe and O’so Brewing to produce beer brewed with kringle. This year the collaboration produced two beers: the first of the duo is Kringle Monster Imperial Pasty Stout (9% ABV). This year’s variant of the popular beer was brewed with over 350lbs of the bakery’s top selling kringle: Sea Salt Caramel Pecan. The second, Kringle All the Way, a blend of Kringle Monster and barrel aged imperial stout, is even boozier, landing at 10% ABV. The brew was the idea of Jim Lauer of Green Bay, who suggested a recipe for a barrel aged kringle beer in a crowd sourced submission. Both Kringle Monster and Kringle All the Way will be available in 4 packs to go as well as on draught in the taproom.
In addition to the two kringle-infused beers, the brewery will release three oak aged sour beers: Existence Fig Belgian Style Sour Ale, Existence Grand Cru Belgian Style Sour Ale, and–for the first time in cans–2020 Sour Golden Ale. Sour Golden Ale is an award winning golden ale blended from multiple vintages. Existence is a Belgian Style Sour Ale aged in American and French oak with Brettanomyces and Lactobacillus. Some variants are then refermented on different fruits or flavors. Each year, MobCraft’s Director of Barrel Operations, Adam Thomas, identifies different flavors he’d like to work with. This year, two of the variants are Existence Fig and the Grand Cru blend. Existence Fig was refermented with figs and maple syrup then finished with vanilla and nutmeg. Thomas describes the beer as “savory and sweet yet dry all at the same time. It’s like a boozy cake.” The Grand Cru is a blend of 2017, 2018, and 2019 Existence. Each Existence variant is 10% ABV. MobCraft has brewed the series for four years. All three beers will be available in cans to go, but only Existence Fig will be on tap.
The brewery opens at noon on Black Friday for to-go beer and taproom seating. MobCraft offers contact free curbside pick up, or guests can come into the taproom to purchase beer. Guests who prefer to order online can order here. The Black Friday limited release beers will be listed at noon on Friday, November 27.
In addition to the multiple releases, MobCraft will be offering $5 off 2021 Mug Club memberships from Wednesday, November 25 through Monday, November 30. Anyone who purchases two to-go sour products (500ml, 4pk, or 6pk) will receive a free stemmed sour glass.
MobCraft will also be hosting a pop up shop in Green Bay at Uncle Mike’s East Mason location on Black Friday from noon to 3:00pm. The pop up will sell beer to go, including all of the Black Friday releases, and offer pick up for Beer + Kringle Pairing kits. The Beer + Kringle pairing will be hosted on Zoom on Saturday, November 28. Kits will go on sale next week.
