Little Rapids Corporation: Egan Family Foundation donates $310,000 to help communities

(Green Bay, Wis.) – A local family foundation is making significant donations to support Wisconsinites in need during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Little Rapids Corporation – Egan Family Foundation, based in Green Bay and Shawano, Wisconsin, donated $210,000 this month to more than 30 local nonprofit organizations. The Foundation has given more than $310,000 in 2020.

“Our friends and neighbors are experiencing extraordinary difficulties as a result of the pandemic,” said Bailey Egan Cloudman, Chair of the Foundation. “We want to help where we can, by supporting vital local efforts to ease the pain in our communities.”

Since its inception in 1986, The Little Rapids – Egan Family Foundation has contributed to a variety of local organizations. Its 2020 giving has focused on essential needs and services, such as food banks, shelters, childcare, education and counseling services. The Foundation pledged $15,000 to Family Services of Northeast Wisconsin, $15,000 to Jackie Nitschke Center, $45,000 in December to area food pantries and $30,000 to shelters, among other recipients.

“As a local family business, we are acutely aware of the difficult decisions families are forced to make during this pandemic,” said Kirk Ryan, CEO of Little Rapids Corporation. “This is a time for all of us to help.”
