MENASHA, Wis. — Samaritan Counseling Center of the Fox Valley will hold its Ethics in Business Event virtually on Thursday, October 29, 8:30-10 a.m. Samaritan Counseling Center has hosted the Fox Valley Ethics in Business Summit each October since 2015.
Due to the impact of COVID-19 in the workplace, this year’s event will feature a virtual panel discussion lead by moderator Vicki Updike, founder of New Sage Strategies. Panelists represent a cross-section of community leaders who will examine the importance of moral leadership and ethical decision-making during challenging times.
This year’s panelists include:
- Tim Galloway, CEO of Galloway Company
- Beth Clay, executive director of NEW Mental Health Connection
- Becky Bartoszek, president and CEO of Fox Cities Chamber
- Maria Van Laanen, president of Performing Arts Center
Attendees will learn how businesses are dealing with moral dilemmas and how the pandemic is impacting employee mental health. They will also discover coping strategies to improve morale, productivity, and job satisfaction.
The Ethics in Business Summit inspires good business ethics to promote positive mental health in employees, their families, and their communities. Event proceeds provide access to mental health services in Northeast Wisconsin.
“The summit is an opportunity for business leaders to not only strengthen their ethical business practices and learn from other leaders, but also strengthen mental health care in our community,” said Rosangela Berbert, Samaritan Counseling Center executive director. “The Ethics in Business Summit emphasizes the idea that workplace practices impact employees’ mental health and productivity, which has the potential to make our entire community stronger.”
Due to the generosity of sponsors, this event is free to attend. However, it is a fundraiser to support operations and if attendees are able, they can donate to Samaritan Counseling Center upon registration.
