Elmbrook Education Foundation: Announces sixth annual golf outing

Brookfield, WI – September 8, 2020 — The Elmbrook Education Foundation (EEF) announces its sixth annual golf outing. The outing will take place on September 28, 2020, at Ironwood Golf Course in Sussex, Wis. It is a 4-person team scramble with a shotgun start at 11:00 a.m.

Beth Dobrzynski, Executive Director of EEF said, “We are excited to host the annual EEF Golf Open, sponsored by the Offsite Collaboration Center. The EEF is working in partnership with the LAUNCH program in the Elmbrook and Wauwatosa high schools. Students from several of our strands will be involved in this event. And, hole sponsorships are available.”

“Proceeds from the EEFGO will benefit LAUNCH as they create opportunities for students to expand their profession-based learning and provide an incentive to make and create for our neighboring communities. Please join us for a great day on the links filled with golf, games, silent auction and great food provided by Brunch and Maxie’s,” continued Dobrzynski.

Pricing for the outing is individual golfer, $125, foursome $500. Registration includes 18 holes of golf with cart, lunch and dinner. Other activities after golf include silent auction, ball toss, putting contest, and networking. Pre-registration and pre-payment are required for this event. This year’s funds will go to support Elmbrook Education Foundation initiatives along with the LAUNCH program, to help fund the experiences that are generated within the program. This supports guest speakers, the learning space, equipment, technology, and supplies for student projects. LAUNCH is a program that has grown from 70 students to nearly 400. EEF was organized in 1958 to award scholarships to select Elmbrook School District high school graduates. In 1999, the Foundation’s mission expanded to include teacher grants for innovative projects that benefit all students and raise money to support and strengthen outstanding learning ideas that improve the overall educational quality of our public schools. EEF has awarded over $1,300,000 in scholarships and $425,000 in grants which enhance and extend the established curriculum and support projects that are beyond the District’s budget.
