MADISON | MILWAUKEE | MINNEAPOLIS – DeWitt LLP law firm announced today that effective July 1, 2020 it appointed Timothy L. Stewart as its Metropolitan Milwaukee Office Managing Partner. Stewart will lead the continued growth of DeWitt’s Metropolitan Milwaukee office located in Brookfield, which currently boasts one of the largest law firm presences in Waukesha County, with 28 of the firm’s nearly 140 attorneys.
Stewart is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee and Chair of the firm’s Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOPs) industry group. He helps businesses around the United States establish and maintain ESOPs. He has advanced a robust niche practice within the firm advising companies of all sizes, in several industries including community banks, manufacturing, distribution, construction and transportation.
Stewart joined DeWitt in 2005 and since that time has established a strong record of leadership within the firm. He earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin Law School and his B.A., with distinction, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is admitted to practice in Wisconsin and is involved in a number of associations, including being Co-Chair of the 2019 UPAF Campaign, a Member of the Greater Milwaukee Employee Benefits Council, a Policy Board Member of the Waukesha County Business Alliance and an Officer of the Wisconsin Chapter of the ESOP Association and Wisconsin Retirement Plan Professionals Ltd. Stewart is a resident of Muskego.
