American Federation for School Children: School choice supporters victorious in Wisconsin legislative race

The American Federation for Children, the nation’s voice for educational choice, congratulates the winning candidates who support educational choice on their successes in the Wisconsin General Election. The election results are in line with numerous public polls that have found strong support for school choice.

Statement from Justin Moralez, Wisconsin State Director for the American Federation for Children:

“As a swing state, Wisconsin has seen one of the most contentious election cycles in recent memory. Tens of millions of dollars rained down to influence voters’ choices, and in the end, the one true winner of the evening was School Choice.”

“Three decades after its inception, school choice will maintain majority support in the legislature, with a bi-partisan coalition of elected officials returning or heading to Madison. This is good news for parents regardless of what party they support. While 2020 has proved challenging to many, it has also elevated the need and importance of having educational options.”

AFC, having engaged in multiple races across the state, sees this fight for the future as a primary responsibility.

“When the children win, we all win,” noted Moralez.
