Ale Asylum: Releases FVCK COVID Pale Version 2.0

MADISON, WI (May 14, 2020)- Ale Asylum releases FVCK COVID Version 2.0: Hazy Pale, the second installment in a series that began with FVCK COVID Pilsner. The initial release sold out in minutes at the brewery’s curbside service and the handful of retailers that got their hands on it. The brewery has since tripled their production efforts to keep up with demand. “It really connected with the customers. Like a Super Bowl collectors can, people wanted something to remember this time, this place and this event. It certainly makes people smile when they got it, which is something everyone needs right now”, quotes Chris Welch, owner of Trixie’s Liquor Store.

When the brewery released FVCK COVID Pilsner, they announced a portion of the proceeds would be donated to local frontline healthcare workers and hospitality workers affected by COVID-19. The brewery has since decided to donate 100% of the profits from FVCK COVID Pilsner in the state of Wisconsin to the Kessenich’s S.O.S. Fund and UW Health’s COVID-19 Response Fund which will be begin in the month of June.

“The response was overwhelmingly positive and somewhat overwhelming”, says Ale Asylum Co-Founder Otto Dilba about the initial release of FVCK COVID Pilsner. “Increasing production will allow us to maximize our donations to these two great organizations, quickly putting money into the hands of recipients.” FVCK COVID Pale Version 2.0 is a sessionable 5% abv. and is brewed with Idaho 7, Ekuanot, and Trident hops. The brewery refers to it as a “Hazy American Pale Ale” and the flavor profile is described as being soft and bright.

FVCK COVID Pilsner and Pale Version 2.0 is distributed throughout Wisconsin in 12 oz. can six-packs. The brewery is finalizing multi-state distribution of these two brands with Brew Pipeline in order to fulfill myriad of purchase requests from across the country, as federal law prohibits shipping beer directly to consumers.
