Kahler Slater welcomes accomplished healthcare strategist, Supina Mapon, as Strategic Advisory Services leader

MILWAUKEE, WIS., June 4, 2019– Kahler Slater, an award-winning architecture, interior design, environmental branding and strategic advisory firm, is pleased to announce that Supina Mapon has joined the firm’s Healthcare Team as Principal and Strategic Advisory Services Leader.

A seasoned healthcare consultant who began her consulting career at Deloitte Consulting and healthcare intelligence firm, Sg2, Mapon is recognized for her ability to help healthcare clients navigate challenging environments to achieve transformational change and deliver optimal outcomes. She connects the dots between the built environment and traditional consulting, leveraging her expertise in predictive analytics and operational design to create strategic responses, enhance operational efficiencies, and optimize care delivery.

She has applied this critical thinking to advise hundreds of health systems, academic medical centers, community hospitals and provider groups across five continents and with high-profile clients such as Kaiser Permanente, University of Chicago, University of Minnesota, University of Maryland, Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin, and the Departments of Health and Human Services for the states of Texas and Maryland. Prior to joining Kahler Slater, she was one of the leaders of CannonDesign’s advisory services practice, where she was instrumental in building the practice from ground-up and working side-by-side with clients and design teams to ensure that strategic and operational changes on planning and design were vetted before adoption.

“Our clients need our help integrating research and analytics to make the business case for their most important financial decisions. With Supina as our Strategic Advisory Services leader, we can help our clients view their organizations at the macro level to best eliminate duplication of services and investments, reduce cost variation, and establish consistent processes for service line operations in order to achieve true “system-ness,” said Al Krueger, AIA, ACHA, EDAC, Executive Vice President and Healthcare Practice Leader.

Mapon is dedicated to better-informed decision-making to achieve compelling results through design. She looks forward to continuing to help healthcare organizations outpace a rapidly evolving industry to better respond to consumer expectations and achieve new levels of business success. “The best design solutions are those that are human-led – but you need to demonstrate that design is backed by a powerful strategy and measurable outcomes in order to ensure buy-in,” said Mapon. “With unwavering focus on performance-based design, Kahler Slater has a strong vision for thinking very differently about how design is co-created and delivered. I am thrilled to be part of the team leading this movement.”

Mapon received a Bachelor of Arts in Human Biology from Stanford University and a Master’s in Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.# # #
