“We are thrilled to partner with Donald and his team to lead the MAC’s fitness programming. Everything about the new MAC is being designed to create an unparalleled member experience, and Driven Elite’s customized fitness and nutrition programs, competitive challenges, and state-of-the-art technology are unlike any other local fitness offering,” said Tony Janowiec, president, Interstate Development Partners.

According to Janowiec, with the agreement, Driver becomes part of the development team and will be personally involved in creating every aspect of the new MAC athletics, including a holistic approach to each member’s individual fitness goals and member-engagement events.

“Fitness has always been a primary focus for the Milwaukee Athletic Club, so we sought a high value, personalized and very unique fitness offering for the club’s future. We are excited to partner with Donald to provide MAC members with the first opportunity to experience the level of expertise offered by Driven Elite,” said Josh Jeffers, president and CEO, J. Jeffers & Company.

According to Jeffers, Driver will be directly involved in operations and overseeing the staff of the members-only fitness club. Driver also owns and operates three Driven Elite locations in the Dallas, Texas metroplex.

“Wisconsin holds a special place in my heart, and I am really excited to partner with the Milwaukee Athletic Club team to bring my program to its members. At Driven Elite, our focus is on whole-body health, and we bring high energy and a strong commitment to making fitness a rewarding and successful experience, regardless of a person’s skill level or athletic abilities,” said Driver.

The building at 758 N. Broadway, which has long been the home of the Milwaukee Athletic Club, is currently undergoing a $70 million renovation. Slated to open in Fall of 2020, the reimagined MAC promises club members unparalleled new member facilities, including:

  • A beautiful year-round rooftop member lounge

The renovation of the MAC will also include updates and additions to areas of the building that are open to the public. These updates include full renovation of existing hotel rooms, updates to the hotel lobby and other public areas and the restoration of the expansive, historic event venues, all of which will be operated by Sage Hospitality. The MAC will also see the addition of two new food and beverage outlets from the team at Sage Restaurant Group, a first floor restaurant and a unique bar concept both of which will be new to the Milwaukee area.

“Members are anxiously awaiting the re-opening of the club and today’s announcement adds to that excitement.
