Agrace: Dr. Eric Marty Named Director of Palliative Care

MADISON, Wis. – Agrace Hospice and Palliative Care has appointed Dr. Eric Marty, MD, as its new director of palliative care. Agrace is Wisconsin’s largest nonprofit community hospice and palliative care agency, providing end-of-life care and related services to people in southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois.

As director of palliative care, Marty will oversee PalliaHealth by Agrace, a set of specialized, supportive palliative care services for people who need help managing their physical symptoms and stress as they undergo treatment for serious illnesses. He will also lead the team of palliative care nurse practitioners who provide palliative care consultations in patients’ homes.

Before joining Agrace, Marty was the medical director of palliative care at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison for five years. He is board certified in family medicine and hospice and palliative medicine.

Marty earned his undergraduate and medical degrees from Creighton University, Omaha, Nebraska. He completed a family medicine residency at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, and a Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship through the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in Madison. He was named among Madison Magazine’s Top Doctors in palliative medicine in 2016 and 2018.
