Hoffman York, Inc: Perlick names Richard Palmersheim new president & CEO

MILWAUKEE (Oct. 8, 2018) – Perlick Corporation®, a family-owned North American manufacturing leader in commercial bar and beverage systems, brewery fittings andresidential appliances, announced today the appointment of Richard (Dick) Palmersheim as its new president and chief executive officer (CEO), effective immediately. Palmersheim replaces Paul Peot, who after more than six years with the company recently announced his retirement.

“Dick’s breadth of experience in diverse roles within a variety of industries brings a well-rounded, innovative perspective to our business,” said Steve Bergum, Perlick family member and former CEO. “We look forward to leveraging his experience in strategic plan development and implementation, brand building, new product development and organizational effectiveness improvement to continue fueling Perlick’s growth in both existing and new markets.”

Palmersheim brings to Perlick more than 35 years of extensive business experience in executive management, strategy, operations, international business and innovation. Most recently, he was principal at Woodcrest Associates LLC, a business advisory firm assisting small to mid-sized companies with strategic planning, international growth, innovation capability improvement, product development, organizational excellence and marketing capability improvement. He is also on several corporate and advisory boards. Throughout his career, Palmersheim has held general management and executive leadership positions both in the United States and internationally at multiple industry-leading companies, including ASQ, Broan-NuTone, Bombardier Recreational Products, Caterpillar and S.C. Johnson & Son Inc.

“Now in its fifth generation of family ownership, it’s vital that Perlick’s leadership closely aligns with our family values,” added Larry Molinari, Perlick family member and former CEO. “Dick understands what it means to be a family business and has the experience necessary to deliver upon the mission and vision we have outlined for the company.”

A Milwaukee native, Palmersheim earned both an undergraduate degree and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin—Madison.

“In addition to Perlick’s strong brand and potential for growth and innovation, one of the key attractions to the role for me is the opportunity to lead a family company that is committed to continuing to grow while building the family company culture and sustaining family ownership for future generations,” said Palmersheim. “My past experience working for family-owned businesses has shown me their unique advantages and unwavering commitment to employees, which is a solid foundation on which to build a business.”

In 2017, Perlick celebrated its 100-year anniversary and the Perlick family is committed to the next 100 years of family ownership. For more information on Perlick, visitwww.perlick.com.
