On August 10th from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at 2096 Red Arrow Trail, Madison, WI, Reach Dane is hosting
an Open House for community partners, volunteers, and neighbors to celebrate the official launch as
Reach Dane.

Reach Dane offers high-quality early childhood education programming to more than 1,000 low-
income children each year at 17 locations throughout Dane and Green counties. Last year the agency
changed its name from Dane County Parent Council to Reach Dane.

Executive Director, Jen Bailey said: “The number of infants and toddlers experiencing homelessness
enrolled in our programs has tripled over the last four years. To better meet the needs of children
experiencing homelessness, Reach Dane offers a holistic approach to programs, which allows the
whole family to be served together.” Reach Dane works with children to make tremendous progress
toward Kindergarten readiness and supports parents in finding a path towards stability and security.

Biking for Homeless Babies

Travis McDaniel is raising awareness of the growing population of homeless children in Dane County by
biking from Vancouver to the Mexican border. Travis will be available at the open house to share his
experience and the motivation behind this 30+ day journey.
