Consultant Jackie Bartanen joins the strategic business consultancy in Green Bay, as the growing company better serves the needs of clients that seek growth and development.
GREEN BAY, Wis. — This fall marks a dual milestone for Journey Consulting LLC. Longtime business leader Jayne McQuillan commemorates the 10-year anniversary of her strategic business consultancy with the growth of the local company, which specializes in helping small to midsized companies achieve profitable results.
McQuillan, owner and president of Journey Consulting, announced the hire of Jackie Bartanen as a consultant. A certified public accountant, Bartanen has been a highly skilled business leader in Northeastern Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan for 20 years
“I’ve come to a pivotal point in terms of taking Journey Consulting to the next level,” McQuillan said. “As the requests for our services have increased, we have added a new member to our team to provide additional client counsel to expand our capacity and reach.”
Ten years in the making
McQuillan, a CPA with nearly 30 years of experience in public and private business, started Journey Consulting in 2007. The consultancy has worked with leaders from dozens of businesses on an array of organizational, managerial, financial and transitional needs. All with the direct purpose of achieving profits, jobs and long-term sustainability by those companies. Journey Consulting also focuses on business succession planning, helping owners create and implement an exit strategy.
“My business is to work with organizations in taking them to that next level of growth by helping them with strategy, structure and process,” McQuillan said. “Now, at this 10-year milestone, I’m pleased to continue evaluating those same issues as I grow my consultancy.”
McQuillan has been an executive for over 25 years in industries such as manufacturing, contracting, service and business consulting. She has worked with organizations to transform their business models, processes and procedures, and develop their leadership for increased growth and profitability.
As the principal of Journey Consulting, McQuillan provides strategic and business planning, business financial planning, succession and transition planning, organizational alignment and organizational and leadership development consulting to business owners and leadership to help them develop a path for success by using her creativity and financial and business expertise to accomplish the task at hand.
Before she launched Journey Consulting in November 2007, McQuillan was the CFO for Galloway Company, a dairy processing company in Neenah, Wisconsin. She previously worked as an organizational development consultant with Utech Consulting in Green Bay and held numerous executive positions with Com-Tec Inc., a national securities control manufacturer and contractor in Appleton, Wisconsin.
McQuillan is driven by transformational change and growth. Her passion and energy come from her desire to make things work and by developing people and organizations to their potential.
Expanding the team
The addition of Bartanen will enable Journey Consulting to continue to help its business partners work toward achieving their desired growth.
Bartanen has produced exemplary results in management of finance, operations and human resources. She most recently worked as the chief financial officer for Baycom Inc. in Green Bay. Before that, Bartanen served as controller with Peninsula Fiber Network LLC in Marquette, Michigan, and also with Denil Wall Oldsmobile Cadillac LLC in Green Bay. She has provided financial analysis to guide decisions, implemented new policies and processes, mentored direct reports as well as leadership and management teams, and directed project management. She also has managed multiple businesses and operations and guided her previous employers through business spin-offs and sales as well as managed the integration of acquisitions.
“Jackie brings to Journey Consulting a wide range of business knowledge that will provide immediate value to our clients in financial, operational and strategic improvements, including interim CFO capabilities,” McQuillan said. “I’m excited to have her on board.”
