Green Bay, Wis.- (Oct. 23, 2017) – Team Three from the Leadership Green Bay Class of 2017 will be celebrating the completion of their Bike Repair Station Project with a ribbon-cutting event on Thursday, November 2 at 11:30 a.m. at the Neville Public Museum, 210 Museum Place. The team’s original goal to install three bike repair stations on local trails was quickly surpassed as local businesses, municipalities and bike groups pitched in with sponsorships, in-kind donations and a wealth of advice. With the community’s overwhelming support, the team has installed 10 of the 14 bike repair stations throughout Brown County. The remaining four stations will be installed by spring 2018.
“Biking just got a lot more fun and safe in our area!” commented Bike Hub owner Rebecca Cleveland. “The bike stations are bright red reminders that the greater Green Bay area supports and encourages recreation and transportation via bike.”
The stands include eight tools on retractable braided stainless-steel cables, as well as a tire pump. (See attached photo.)
Leadership Green Bay Team Three has invited project sponsors, local bike groups, elected officials, and all local bike trail supporters to the ribbon-cutting event.
