APPLETON, WIS. (Nov. 30, 2017) – The Appleton Housing Authority (AHA) announced today the official launch of its newly revamped website, now accessible by visiting www.appletonhousing.org.

Designed with clean lines, eye-pleasing photos and user-friendly navigation, the goal of the new site is to provide online visitors with an easier way to learn about the AHA’s mission, programs and affordable housing options for qualifying individuals, families, veterans and seniors in Appleton and the surrounding area.

Printable applications and landlord information are highlighted in a quick click format. Featured AHA programs include: Family Self-Sufficiency; First-time Homebuyer; Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8); Public Housing Scattered Sites; and the newly opened Grand View Townhomes development, which offers spacious one, two and three bedroom townhomes for all income levels.

Information about affordable housing opportunities for seniors, veterans and individuals with disabilities are spotlighted with call outs to the AHA’s Oneida Heights high rise apartments and Riverwalk Place complex.

A donate button at the top of the Home Page also offers a safe pathway to support AHA programs that are not funded by governmental sources. Clicking on this button takes visitors to a donation page for the AHA’s 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization, Neighborhood Housing, Inc., where a secure, tax-deductible donation can be placed. Two such programs needing ongoing community fundraising support include: the AHA’s Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) Program, which is open to families participating in the Housing Choice Voucher Program who have the motivation and desire to become independent of all subsidies; and the Senior Basic Needs Fund, which provides basic necessities for elderly and disabled residents who make their home at the AHA’s Oneida Heights and Riverwalk Place affordable living complexes.

Inspiring family stories and agency news and events complete the fresh look of the new site, designed by Stellar Blue Technologies, Neenah.
