Business World Program Now Accepting Registrations
Two summer business programs available for high school students

MADISON – Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce, the state chamber of commerce, is accepting registrations for Business World, a program for high school students from across Wisconsin. Here, participants will learn real-world experiences and gain an understanding of the importance of the free enterprise system.

Business World is a four-day program that brings high school students and business volunteers together on a college campus to learn about the challenges facing our economy. Students at the program work in teams of 10-12 and function as a “company” for the program’s duration. With the task of turning their company into a financial success, each company works together to create a unique product, develop marketing strategies, design a commercial and compete in an online business simulation. They will also have the opportunity to interact with guest speakers and tour local companies to complete the hands-on experience.

Business World is a great opportunity to give students, the future of Wisconsin’s companies, a head start on a career in business. There are two programs offered; June 19-22 in De Pere at St. Norbert College and another July 10-13 in Madison at Edgewood College. Students are able to register for whichever program they would like.
