MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis. – Menomonee Falls-based Wireless Logic sold its 16 Wisconsin AT&T authorized retail stores to Salt Lake City-based Spring Mobile on Dec. 31, 2015.

Wireless Logic CEO Todd Hetherington said Spring Mobile’s competitive offer, existing presence in Wisconsin and compatible company culture ensured a seamless transition for employees.

Spring Mobile is a wholly owned subsidiary of GameStop, operating 70 Spring Mobile Cricket stores and 889 Spring Mobile AT&T stores, totaling 959 Spring Mobile stores in 39 states across the U.S.

“GameStop is an aggressive buyer with a strong balance sheet in addition to having a great company culture,” Hetherington said. “Spring Mobile CEO Jason Ellis and I have a very similar philosophy, so it was a good fit.”

The sale gives Spring Mobile a large AT&T presence in Wisconsin. Wireless Logic’s 16 stores employed approximately 100 people and made up the majority of AT&T’s distribution in the state, with stores located from Delavan to Green Bay.

“Customers won’t notice any change under Spring Mobile,” Hetherington said. “All AT&T retailers are branded under AT&T national standards.”

Wireless Logic, founded by Hetherington in 2000, retained its leadership team after the sale and will now switch gears to focus on new opportunities and investments.

“We have a strong leadership team, and we’re looking forward to seeing what the future holds,” Hetherington said.
