UW-Madison: Expert on WI implementation of ACA to attend Obama visit in Milwaukee

MADISON, Wis. — President Barack Obama will visit Milwaukee Thursday (March 3) to celebrate the city’s victory in the Healthy Communities Challenge, a competition among 20 cities during the recent Health Insurance Market Place open enrollment period to increase the number of Americans with health insurance.

Donna Friedsam, who will attend the event as a VIP guest of the president, is the health policy programs director at the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute. She is available to discuss the impact of increasing health insurance enrollment numbers in Milwaukee and Wisconsin. Friedsam is an expert in the implementation of federal health care reform.

The event will take place mid-day at the United Community Center in the Bruce-Guadalupe Middle School. Friedsam is available before and after the event.
