Security Health Plan offering Fox Valley businesses healthcare coverage with Bellin Health and ThedaCare

MARSHFIELD, Wisc. – After serving Central and Northern Wisconsin for more than 30 years, Security Health Plan, a not-for-profit health maintenance organization committed to improving members’ health, managing healthcare costs, and providing access to high-quality healthcare, announces it will now offer healthcare insurance plans to the Fox Valley. Plans featured in the Fox Valley include Bellin Health and ThedaCare in the provider network.

Fox Valley businesses will now have the opportunity to take advantage of Security Health Plan’s expert staff based exclusively in Wisconsin, a network of high-quality providers, flexible benefit options, and innovative health and wellness services.

“We’re excited to offer the Fox Valley a valued, Wisconsin-based health insurance option,” Marty Anderson, chief marketing officer, said. “Human resource professionals, employers, and individuals will feel comfort knowing that a representative in Wisconsin will always be available to answer questions or offer guidance.”

Security Health Plan will offer Fox Valley businesses a new, healthy perspective on healthcare partnerships through a customized approach and a variety of coverage options, helping these companies attract and retain top talent.

More than ever, companies are relying heavily on health insurance benefits to pursue and retain employees. According to a survey of 460 HR professionals completed by Bloomberg, 33 percent said their organizations used benefits to retain employees in the last year.

Eighty percent of those HR professionals stated that health insurance and benefits are more effective than retirement plans or vacation in keeping employees on board.

“With the rapidly changing healthcare industry, our goal is to ensure that busy HR professionals and CEOs of the Fox Valley are confident they have the best coverage, claim processes, and service available to them while walking them through the process every step of the way,” Eric Twerberg, chief sales officer, said. “We are known for superior reporting, easy onboarding, robust workplace wellness solutions, fewer hospitalizations, fewer claims hassles, and being among the top-rated plans for 11 consecutive years.”

Security Health Plan’s HMO/POS private plans are rated 4.5 out of 5 among NCQA’s Private Health Insurance Plan Ratings 2016-2017. No private plans in Wisconsin are rated 5 out of 5.

In addition, employers are placing increased emphasis on employee wellness programs promoting mental and physical health as well as active lifestyles. Wellness programs help create an environment that reduces stress, which ultimately can affect a company’s bottom line.

“We’ve worked with all kinds of companies to build successful wellness programs that have positively affected employee morale,” Anderson said. “The profitability and success of a company depends largely on those it employs, so it’s important to take care of those employees.”
