OEM Expands Engineering Services

WOODVILLE, WI—OEM Fabricators announced this week the expansion of its Engineering Services Team. OEM President S. Mark Tyler chose National Engineers Week to announce the expansion. A short video highlighting OEM’s engineering services is online at bit.ly/OEM_Engineering.

“For years our customers have asked OEM to expand our engineering services to help them with new product development, manufacturability, and production efficiency. While our own manufacturing team has long been fully supported by in-house engineers, project managers and engineering technicians, we are now positioned to offer manufacturing and mechanical engineering services directly to other manufacturers.”

Tyler said one of the factors that led to the decision to expand engineering services was the October announcement by the Northwest Wisconsin Engineering Consortium (NWEC) of its commitment to work together to expand engineering degree programs at UW-Stout, UW-Eau Claire, and UW-River Falls. “This greatly enhances our access to the engineering talent pool that we need to support our long-term growth in meeting industry needs.” said Tyler.

OEM Director of Engineering Christian Gausman leads the Engineering Team. Gausman, a UW-Stout and University of St. Thomas graduate, is an engineer with 12 years of experience at OEM. “Christian’s experience in manufacturing engineering, customer service, quality, and as a plant manager, provides the experienced, hands-on leadership our customers expect from us,” said Tyler.

National Engineers Week (February 21–27, 2016) founded by the National Society of Professional Engineers, provides a platform to highlight the importance of technical education and engineering careers.
