Milwaukee, WI (January 19, 2016) – Ashley K. Lipinski has joined Michael Best & Friedrich LLP as a patent agent in the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group. Lipinski has experience in all phases of patent prosecution and will focus her practice on the mechanical field, including power tools, vacuum cleaners, medical devices, faucets, agricultural vehicles, office furniture, laptop docking stations, commercial ovens and underground mining machines. She is located in the Milwaukee office.
Prior to becoming a patent agent, Lipinski was as an EDGE engineering intern with Michael Best and also worked as a graduate and undergraduate researcher for Northwestern University. Her graduate research investigated the impact of sirt1 and sirt2 proteins on megakaryocytic cell culture and polyploidization mechanisms, and her undergraduate research covered the impact of dunc79 and dunc80 proteins on Drosophila narrow abdomen ion channel.
Lipinski earned her B.S., summa cum laude, in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2015. She also earned an M.S. in Biotechnology and B.A. in Biological Sciences from Northwestern University in 2009. She is a member of the Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society and Pi Tau Sigma Mechanical Engineering Honor Society.
