M-WEWRC hosts international delegation from Korea

Interest in WERCBench Labs attracts start-ups & interest from investors

[Milwaukee, Wis.] – Officials from the Midwest Energy Research Consortium (M-WERC) hosted a group of representatives from the Korean government funded research university Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology (DGIST). DGIST has gained international recognition for innovative programs that teach and support entrepreneurship and technology commercialization.

The researchers and business leaders from DGIST are coming to discuss opportunities to commercialize technology in a variety of areas including:

• Emerging Materials Science

• Information & Communication Engineering

• Robotics Engineering

• Energy Systems Engineering

“It’s certainly of interest for a number of our member company’s to enhance our relationships with foreign companies to commercialize technology in our region,” said M-WERC CEO and Executive Director Alan Perlstein. “We’re excited about the international interest WERCBench Labs is starting to receive just days after opening the application process.”
