Nationally Recognized Health Care Attorney Joins DeWitt Ross & Stevens S.C.

MADISON/MILWAUKEE/ MINNEAPOLIS – Wisconsin-based DeWitt Ross & Stevens S.C. and its affiliate DeWitt Mackall Crounse & Moore S.C. (DeWitt), today announced Keith Halleland joined the firm as Co-Chair of its Health Care Practice Group. DeWitt has more than 115 attorneys with expertise in more than 30 areas of law and offices in Madison and Metropolitan Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Halleland’s health care practice includes representing clients in Minneapolis and Wisconsin, as well as nationwide. “DeWitt is the right fit for my practice given its presence in both states and its focus on health care and community service,” said Halleland. His experience in the health care arena includes mergers and acquisitions of large hospitals, long-term care, and managed care organizations. He served as general counsel for 12 years to the largest health care compliance association in the world, the Minnesota-based Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA). “We are excited to have Halleland as Co-Chair of our Health Care Practice Group, his national experience is very beneficial to our firm,” said Bradley C. Halleland earned his J.D. from Seattle University School of Law and his B.A. from the University of Iowa. He is the CEO of Community Health Initiatives (CHI), a company focused nationally on health care reform models, reducing costs and improving quality for patients. He also has served as chair or executive officer of the Board of more than one dozen prominent charitable or public organizations, including: the Humphrey School of Public Affairs, University of Minnesota; Children’s Heartlink; Minnesota Citizen’s League; Courage Center; Way to Grow; Planned Parenthood of Minnesota; and the Mitchell Hamline Law School Health Law Program (adjunct professor in compliance).
