MADISON, WI – Boardman & Clark LLP recently named attorneys Douglas Witte, Andy DeClercq, and Andrew Hebl to the partnership. Hebl and DeClercq have both practiced with the firm since beginning their legal careers in 2009, while Witte joined the firm with an established practice in 2015. “We are extremely fortunate to have these three very talented and dedicated attorneys join our partnership,” said Jennifer Mirus, a partner in the firm’s Employment Law Group and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. “Andy, Doug and Andrew exemplify the client focused and practical approach we strive for at Boardman & Clark.”

Douglas Witte practices in the area of labor and employment law, and has represented school districts and private sector employers in all aspects of labor and employment law for over twenty-five years. He is a member of the Wisconsin School Attorneys Association, serves on its Board of Directors and is currently its President. Doug also brings litigation experience, as he has represented employers in employment discrimination suits before state and federal courts and administrative agencies, including Wisconsin’s Equal Rights Division and the EEOC.

Andy DeClercq graduated magna cum laude from the University of Wisconsin-Madison Law School. He practices primarily in the areas of labor and employment, employee benefits, and commercial litigation. DeClercq was named an “Up and Coming Lawyer” by the Wisconsin Law Journal in 2010 and a “Wisconsin Rising Star” by Wisconsin Super Lawyers in 2015. In 2014, he was named the State Bar of Wisconsin’s “Pro Bono Attorney of the Year” in large part in recognition for taking on pro bono prisoner civil rights cases.

Andrew Hebl graduated summa cum laude from Michigan State University College of Law. He is a trial and appellate litigator who represents insurance companies and their insureds in personal injury, property damage, and professional malpractice lawsuits. He also frequently represents insurance companies in insurance coverage disputes and extra-contractual litigation (bad faith), and defends municipalities in a wide variety of matters, from small claims actions to major civil rights lawsuits. He is on the Board of Directors of Wisconsin Defense Counsel, has been the Chief Editor of the Wisconsin Civil Trial Journal since 2010, has been named a “Rising Star” by Wisconsin Super Lawyers magazine each year since 2012, and was recently named an “Up and Coming Lawyer” by the Wisconsin Law Journal.
