Stoughton company wins special award for employee development & committment
Milwaukee – Universal Acoustic & Emission Technologies, Inc. is one of seven Wisconsin companies awarded a prestigious Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year Award. The winners were announced Thursday night at a black tie banquet honoring the 40 nominees.
Universal Acoustic has added over 50 jobs in the past year at a growth rate of over 20 percent in Wisconsin.
They have incorporated their own University, which provides training in all areas of the company. This training helps to complete employees’ business acumen through each function of the company. This also helps Universal Acoustic promote their employees because completion of the training clearly demonstrates dedication and thorough company knowledge.
In addition to that, a growth program has been created where nine high potential employees are identified and go through a mentoring program with upper management in conjunction with attending external leadership training. The goal of this program is to create and prepare the future leaders of the company.
Becoming the employer of choice is a vision that Universal Acoustic stands by. They have made a solid commitment to Wisconsin, growth and providing opportunities for all of their employees and future employees.
Celebrating its 27th year, the Manufacturer of the Year Award program recognizes manufacturers of all sizes and industries for their contributions to the great state of Wisconsin. The Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year award winners were selected by an independent panel of judges representing manufacturing, service and the public sector.
The accounting and advisory firm of Baker Tilly, the law firm of Michael Best & Friedrich LLP, and the business association Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce sponsor the MOTY awards program.
